since I last posted on this space, a lot has happened...

i'm expecting! yes, baby no.3 is soon on the way....9 more weeks to be exact.
shi is now in pre-K and growing up too fast if you ask me...and i'm currently addicted to cronuts (that's for a later posting all on its own!)

right now though most of my time has been dominated by N E S T I N G.  for those of you that don't know what nesting is : it's that mode a pregnant woman is in to get the "nest" or home ready for the baby.  by nature i'm ocd when it comes to organization and having a place for everything...but this time around it's seriously ridiculous.

i'v been re-modeling the entire apartment ( especially trying to find space in our tiny space of an apartment) but i'm really disturbed and annoyed by how much my family and i have accumulated in the last 5 years that we've been living here! from keeping old mail to a drawer full of electric chords and chargers (je, my husband, is the techy-hoarder).  but honestly, i guess there's a bit of a hoarder in all of us... we can't get rid of garbage so we hide it to mask it's presence but when it accumulates it becomes a problem---till we suffocate.

sometimes in my relationship with God, i keep garbage around that's preventing me from breathing in the blessings that God wants me to have and show me.  that's all on me, no one else to blame.  it's the little things that accumulate that sometimes i can't let go of ( maybe my worry-wart heart, my complaining, and sometimes my criticism and even my nesting mode). while nesting i realized why i felt like the apartment was so hard to live in (yes, it's small) but it's the junk i was taking in and/or keeping.  just like that too, lately it's been hard for me to get into my devotional times with God...why?...because there's no room for him in my heart/mind...all my garbage is taking up the space meant for Him.  but God's mercy on me is too great for me to even fathom and i have to be the one to initiate the purging of all this junk.

{revelation three: twenty // msg}  “Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!

i don't want to miss out when God is calling me or when he's trying to let himself into my heart.

be blessed.

H E L L O!

oh i have missed this space very much.  yah i took a very long leave of absence, but it was needed.  and i'm thankful for it.  how have you all been?  exciting news? please do update me!

well for the past months since i last updated this blog (last October, eek!) i've just been taking a long rest from the "world"..like re-organizing my time management, re-ascessing the priorities in my life...which meant a check on my spiritual life most importantly.  i'm blessed and renewed by all that God has been teaching me about my walk with Him...most of all the grace that i see daily and i want to do more for Him because he did so much for me.  ( to be continued in another post...)

this blog, as you can see has gotten a face lift...new year, new blog design.  i like it...simple and clean.

as i start to post again, it will start out sporadically only because i really want to bring quality and creativity to each post and not just put up a post just because i didn't meet my quota for the week.

okay! so i'm back and can't wait to hear from you all!

happy tuesday!

oh wow! yes this blog is still alive, just been in super hibernation for awhile.  i've been focusing alot on renovating and refocusing my etsy shop (like super overhaul: name change, more marketing focus, and visual design, etc) so this blog has suffered.  i can't promise that i'll post everyday, but once the shop is up and running hopefully I can juggle both.

my shop (also owned by my best friend) is a children's shop and my mind has been focused on everything kiddo....

i'm loving all the inspiration that's out there, you can see more kiddo inspiration on my Pinterest board.

hope to be back on here soon.

happy weekend!

i feel like this weekend will be a relaxing one, finally! kids are doing much better than last week, praise God! i hope that i can just sit back and watch some korean drama shows on Netflix (i'm not Korean, but i've become an addict to watching them shows!)  sometimes a breather is in order to find sanity in a world of chaos.

what are your plans for the weekend?

happy weekend

oh hello friends!

life is...hectic.  i feel like this summer hasn't been filled with enjoying the nice weather---it's been so hot, me and kids are always catching some kind of cold and of course the endless challenge of graduate school.  (i sound like a skipping record, huh?)  this week's news:  getting kids on the recovery from coughs, runny noses and other yucky nonsense.  God is really my strength and source for stressed out times like this.

how have you all been?  enjoy your week's end, friends.

happy weekend.

i can't really remember when i've had a weekend to just  R E L A X.  my weekends have seemed to be filled lately with all this work load of projects, sick kiddos, sick-me...and being stuck inside because of the 100 degree weather here in Chicago. my wish:  i'd like to take a blanket and lay it out in an open field of grass and lay back and look at the sky and take a nap there

have a laid-back weekend.

oh my! i've been away for so long! i apologize for the absence and silence on this space.  i've been caught up in many things.  my birthday weekend was not so happy actually...i had a tooth infection that had me
bed-ridden at the hotel and my poor kiddos and husband enjoying take-out and movies alongside me.  school...is always a stress source and it's just more and more challenging for me.  at church i volunteer making sets, props for the arts/performance ministry so with summer there are many activities and creative projects on hand.  that infected tooth resulted in me having my wisdom tooth taken out and in pain.  so this space has suffered. sorry, folks.

i might only be able to post once or twice a week till all my responsibilities slow down.  but i have missed posting, seriously missed it.  how are you all?  how's the summer going? any new projects and news?

i have to get back to all my "to-do" lists...so hope to post soon.

happy tuesday.

the weekend is here!  me and the kiddos have enjoyed the weather so much with outings to our pretty outdoor mall (and a visit to Madewell, lol), playing activities outside and drawing with sidewalk chalk at grandpa and grandma's house.  despite the fact that the kids are recovering from tiny colds, they were able to have fun outside still.  the weather here seems to be getting hotter and hotter so that means more plans for the outdoor fun.  i can't really believe that it's Memorial Day weekend already!  i'm thankful that je has a three day weekend to enjoy some family time.  what are your plans for this weekend?

if you have shopping in your plans for this weekend, here are some REAL GOOD SALES:
*Nordstrom is having their Half-Yearly Sale for women and kids this week and into the weekend.
*Madewell of course is wonderful, and they are having a 20% off sale on clearance.  they don't have signs up (but it's advertised on their site), but the cashier told me at the register when i purchased this, this and that....yes i'm an addict.
*Anthropologie is having their Semi-Annual Sale and of course it's heavenly.
*Victoria's Secret has their 7 for $26 panty raid sale.  (much better than the 5 for $25 deal)
*Forever21  has an 80% off sale on already great prices.
*Starbucks has happy hour between 3pm to 5pm :  buy 1 Frappucino, second is 50% (this goes on during summer season)

sorry if i'm putting a bigger hole in those wallets...but some of those stores don't rarely go on sale and when they do I CAN'T PASS IT UP (especially Madewell, lol! )

i hope you take in all the fun around you this weekend:

relax. breathe the fresh air. make happy moments.

happy weekend.

oh what joy that this week is ending! sorry for the lack of posts this week, but if you don't know by now whenever the weather gets super great here in Chicago, i have to take advantage of getting out and breathing fresh-air---so that means that this lovely space suffers, so sorry.

this weekend will be filled with :
*washing cars at the church CAR WASH FOR MISSIONS (the church raises donations to go towards missions, school materials for poverty stricken towns in the Philippines, and learning/teaching materials for pastors) so if you're in the Chicago area and need a first of the season car wash...please stop by at our church
*school work is getting challenging and my head will be buried in grad school accounting.
*re-decorating spaces and arranging photos in the apartment, inspired by this & this.
 *checking out this semi-annual sale
*sporting this lovely bag that i added to my closet.

hope you have fun and explore new places!

oh the mondays.  after the weekend, mondays are our recuperation days: getting back on the schedule, sleeping in late, and figuring out how productive this week can be (well at least we try).  how was your mother's day?  mother's day started on saturday for us with my aunt making a surprise visit from Texas and into sunday with a great "luau themed" celebration at church.  this week will for sure be a school-heavy week filled with drafts and case-studies (fun), but i hope i can also take advantage of all the sunny rays and great weather here in Chicago.

happy monday.

happy weekend folks!  yes, we can all "sigh" out aloud for this weekday week to end and for the week's end to start!  this week has been pretty laid back for me, i'm telling you, that i love my class for this grad semester---so not stressful (yet).  yesterday was my mom's bday and some shopping therapy.  got stuck in downtown traffic for 2 hours and waited out a thunder and hail storm...so sighing is all that i can do to speak my happy for some R&R this weekend.

week's end links and likes:
*this post was so real and eye-opening from Creature Comforts.
*be a hacker.
*seeing this movie tomorrow (my husband got me into it)
*totally me.

happy weekend.

lol! i didn't realize how blown up this pic of me would look...hhahhahha.  i guess it's a funny pic to start off the week.  my spring break was great:  i got so many things accomplished, spent time with good friends, good conversations, spending time with my kids (and not yelling at them every second) and finding a new addiction for Ugly Betty on Netflix.

well school started again and i am hopefully hoping that this semester will be more nicer to me.  during my break i worked a lot on projects and sewing up a storm.  i hope that i can continue my creative projects on a more timely manner alongside the start of school again.

hope this week will be a productive and great one!

happy tuesday.

just wanted to end this week with a "thank you" to all those who leave sweet comments and just for visiting this space....it is greatly appreciated.

make your weekend an adventure and enjoy it with those that make you smile!

happy weekend.

the past few weeks (this one especially has been hectic and stressful...to say the least).  but at least now i can move on.  being on a see saw of circumstances and having to wait out on answers can be very draining...especially WITHOUT reliance on God.  my  weakness is to worry right away and stress over things automatically, but if i didn't have God in my day-to-day walk...i would totally explode.  i trust in His plans and all my worries fade away.

on another note....my spring break of grad-school is almost at an end so i'm trying to get everything into my weekly agenda:  today for instance is an awaited playdate for shi and jae, maybe hit up a thrift store, make flowers for mother's day (pic above).

how has your week been so far?  you can catch my day-to-day via my instagram feed (if you're curious).

happy thursday.

with a tiny spring break from school freeing up some time (and stress) i'm working on going back to sewing and starting anew with plans for something lovely up my sleeve.  above are some tags that's i've been making to attach to products.  i really love the whole process of "making stuff" and how it looks all packaged up.

how's your week so far?  sorry for the lateness on posts this week, i've been nursing a cold, sinus headaches and two kiddos that weren't feeling well too.  but good news is that we are all healed.

happy thursday.

spring is here!  i hope to stay.  this week has been the most productive, in a very long time.   this weekend will be filled with spring cleaning here at home...purging clothes, organizing and maybe some time to play outside....and of course God's Word (the best part).

take a peek at my faves this week:
* this site is best for those office supply addicts. (found via Creature Comforts)
* i've been eyeing on these for awhile now.
* i want to make these.
* breathtaking.

  happy weekend.

we currently live in an apartment right now, and with two kiddos and all our things..the past three years have shown that one can accumulate SO MUCH stuff overtime. we've always been on the look-out for a house, but everything is so expensive in comparison to what we can budget for. there were some disappointments along the way, but we always trust in the fact that God has something better for our family. He knows that we want the home we've prayed for time and time again and most importantly in a great neigborhood school for the kids...that comes first.

we actually moved to our apartment because its neigborhood school is in the top 5 elementary schools in Chicago...and we want to start our kids education off with a strong foundation. (don't compromise your kids' education).

so, as we keep trusting God for a home and we keep searching for that dream home...these are a few of the "dream home " inspirations that i'm loving at the moment.  you can find more on my pin board.

i'm really loving all that i've been seeing on the internet and bookstores when it comes to making your home "your own".  especially all the unexpected details like neon doors, book nooks and materials used in the everyday home.  be inspired.

happy tuesday.
