oh wow! yes this blog is still alive, just been in super hibernation for awhile.  i've been focusing alot on renovating and refocusing my etsy shop (like super overhaul: name change, more marketing focus, and visual design, etc) so this blog has suffered.  i can't promise that i'll post everyday, but once the shop is up and running hopefully I can juggle both.

my shop (also owned by my best friend) is a children's shop and my mind has been focused on everything kiddo....

i'm loving all the inspiration that's out there, you can see more kiddo inspiration on my Pinterest board.

hope to be back on here soon.

happy weekend!

hi all! the weather here in Chicago has really been great! yesterday we took the kids to the lakefront and around the Wicker Park neighborhood for some yummy sushi. having two girls is such a blessing and a great handful.  i do love dressing them up and buying them stuff that i didnt' have as a kid.  so i dedicated this post for them.  (the DVF for Gap kids is so cute!)

Sources:  DVF for Gap kids blazer, Smallable pom headband, Melissa&Doug crayons,
Melissa&Doug wooden play food, Hello Kitty lipgloss rings, Sophie & Lili "Clara" doll, DVF for Gap Kids heart tank and Ulubulu bib (best bib ever!).

♥ happy wednesday.

...is for banana and Nutella pancakes.  Y U M.  i don't get to make a pretty breakfast like this that much for the girls, but this morning seemed fitting for a sweet treat.  breakfast is usually cereal, toast or yogurt...so if you have any creative (and healthy) ideas for breakfast, please share.

and miss shi had no complaints either (she's a bit picky, she could eat toast everyday if she had her way).

this week is filled with house rearranging (much needed), cleaning up, sewing, little house projects here and there.  graduate school has proven to become more of a challenge, especially since i only have a handful of classes left before graduation.  so much of my time will be stuck on the books.

hapi wednesday!

this is how i'm feeling right about now...

yes.  shi is on potty training mode.  and i am utterly frustrated...it's true.  it's not as easy as manuals and books tell you it is, especially when you have another baby to take care of.  but i have to pull through for shi's sake and our checkbook's sake (diapers are not cheap).  it's day 2 of potty training and i'm mentally preparing myself for the day ahead.  she's gotten used to wearing the cloth underwear, but accidents still happen, and it's hard for her to understand when she needs to go and for that matter tell me she needs to go.  God is the only one giving me strength and constant reminder of being patient with this whole process.

hopefully by the end of this week our lil' shi will be diaper free!

the kiddos are early birds...like they seriously wake up around 730am.  which means  i don't get that much missed 8 hours of sleep.  but today was different.  they both slept-in until 930am!  and you couldn't even imagine how much a mom can get done in that 2 hour time frame: washed dishes, cleaned up floors, folded clothing, actually eat breakfast, cut-out pattern pieces, check emails....yup i did all this.

these moments are rare....and i snatch 'em up as quickly as they go.
but when they do wake up...it puts such a smile on my face.

hapi tuesday!

(belated)

i don't really get much time on the weekends to post anything, and frankly i don't really
like posting on weekends...it's family time and rest.

so my mother's day greeting is a day late..and i think that's okay right? as you know, i'm a mother of 2 very beautiful girls...and i wouldn't trade it for anything....anything. mother's don't get paid vacation days, an hourly wage....and that''s just how it should be because you can't put a price on what mother's sacrifice for their family and others.  i'm so blessed to be a stay@home and to see every bit of my kiddos growing up is all i need.  sure i can get super stressed and crazy (pulling my hair out crazy), but at the end of the day God's grace upon my life and my family's brings you back to reality and see this crazy thing called LOVE all around me everyday....my kids have shown me how to endure, to be patient, to be silly and to see how much God sacrifices for us.

hapi mum's day to all you mama's out there...remember everyday is mum's day!

jae is 7 months today.  wow....more than half the year since she was born has gone by...gone by in a flash. i'll admit i haven't been taking that many pics of her compared to shi...but i promise myself and to her that i would capture her month by month.  and i couldn't resist taking a pic of our in-house deejay: shi wanted to wear the WESC headphones ....and she looks cuter in them than i.  happy 7 months jae!
