since I last posted on this space, a lot has happened...
i'm expecting! yes, baby no.3 is soon on the way....9 more weeks to be exact.
shi is now in pre-K and growing up too fast if you ask me...and i'm currently addicted to cronuts (that's for a later posting all on its own!)
right now though most of my time has been dominated by N E S T I N G. for those of you that don't know what nesting is : it's that mode a pregnant woman is in to get the "nest" or home ready for the baby. by nature i'm ocd when it comes to organization and having a place for everything...but this time around it's seriously ridiculous.
i'v been re-modeling the entire apartment ( especially trying to find space in our tiny space of an apartment) but i'm really disturbed and annoyed by how much my family and i have accumulated in the last 5 years that we've been living here! from keeping old mail to a drawer full of electric chords and chargers (je, my husband, is the techy-hoarder). but honestly, i guess there's a bit of a hoarder in all of us... we can't get rid of garbage so we hide it to mask it's presence but when it accumulates it becomes a problem---till we suffocate.
sometimes in my relationship with God, i keep garbage around that's preventing me from breathing in the blessings that God wants me to have and show me. that's all on me, no one else to blame. it's the little things that accumulate that sometimes i can't let go of ( maybe my worry-wart heart, my complaining, and sometimes my criticism and even my nesting mode). while nesting i realized why i felt like the apartment was so hard to live in (yes, it's small) but it's the junk i was taking in and/or keeping. just like that too, lately it's been hard for me to get into my devotional times with God...why?...because there's no room for him in my heart/mind...all my garbage is taking up the space meant for Him. but God's mercy on me is too great for me to even fathom and i have to be the one to initiate the purging of all this junk.
{revelation three: twenty // msg} “Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!
i don't want to miss out when God is calling me or when he's trying to let himself into my heart.
be blessed.
Home » GOD
...has been quite draining and much longing for some rest time. shi is still recovering from her cough ( and i feel so bad for because it takes alot out of her and some sleepless nights ). now jae has caught the cough and a fever side effect from her vaccination shots. so two toddlers that don't feel too well = challenging moments. school is not being too friendly with me this semester. and life can be sometimes...overwhelming.
i know there are some blogs out there that make it seem like everything is all glamour, but let's be real....sometimes as a mom you just want to pull your hair out. sometimes i just want to sit in the living room, lights turned off and watch Cake Boss. sometimes i can get carried away and have a whole day of yelling and yelling and yelling and crying (both kids and me). sometimes i want to have a shower longer than 10 minutes. but i'm glad these are only "sometimes" moments.
at the end of the day, no matter how tired i am...no matter how much i yelled and screamed at the kids...i see how blessed God has made me to have this family. i'd lay down my life for my husband and kids. i'd go without sleep to make sure the kids will sleep through the night. i'm thankful that God has my back when times get tough. God really sees us through our tough times and let's you see i'm blessed, i'm saved and that there's more to life than just our "sometimes moments".
take time to not worry about tomorrow. Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own".
♥ happy thursday.
this is how i'm feeling right about now...
yes. shi is on potty training mode. and i am utterly frustrated...it's true. it's not as easy as manuals and books tell you it is, especially when you have another baby to take care of. but i have to pull through for shi's sake and our checkbook's sake (diapers are not cheap). it's day 2 of potty training and i'm mentally preparing myself for the day ahead. she's gotten used to wearing the cloth underwear, but accidents still happen, and it's hard for her to understand when she needs to go and for that matter tell me she needs to go. God is the only one giving me strength and constant reminder of being patient with this whole process.
hopefully by the end of this week our lil' shi will be diaper free!

birthday coma : being in a state of overbundance on love, happy, and cake; also being in a state of denial
for the conclusion of the birthday event.
ah....birthday week is over. but honestly the weeks before my birthday was like having a birthday month. it was a whirlwind couple of weeks: went to Lake Delavan Resort (Lake Geneva suburb) with Jasmin and the families ....very eventful! , then spent the week of my birthday with my parents and sis then birthday weekend with my husband and kiddos...the best. i'll be posting the events later because there's too much to show & tell in just one tiny post.
thank you God for another year of blessings, grace, mercy that overflows. thank you for je who is my other half and love. thank you for protecting my girls and keeping them in your divine healing and health. thank you for family and the love they always show. amongst all the materialistic things given to me (that i'm thankful for) i give thanks to YOU who saved me and taught me what LOVE is.
summer is finally here and hopefully i can get in some DIY projects on the blog to share.
hapi monday!
